What to Expect

What to Expect

When you come to GRIBT for the first time, you will be greeted at the front door with friendliness and hospitality.  Our greeters will be able to point you in the right direction and answer any questions you might have.

Sundays

On Sundays we begin at 10:00am with Sunday School for all ages.  We offer specialized classes for children, teenagers, and young adults (college age), which are developed to meet the needs and interests of each particular age group.  While these classes are held in our lower level, our Pastor teaches a general adult Bible class in the auditorium.

At 11:00am we have our main worship service.  This service includes special music by the choir and various musicians, congregational singing, and preaching.  Children 6th grade and younger are welcomed to stay with their parents in the auditorium, or they may attend Children’s Church downstairs.

Our evening service at 6:00pm follows a similar format as the morning service.  Children 3rd grade and younger are welcomed to participate in our Patch the Pirate program downstairs while the adults are in the auditorium.  Though the format of the morning and evening services are similar, no two services are “repeats”.  Most of our members enjoy attending both the 11:00 and 6:00 services, as the music and preaching is often “just what I needed!”

Wednesdays

On Wednesday nights at 7:00pm, the children (up through 6th grade) enjoy Master Club, where they play games, learn Bible stories, and earn badges.  The youth group (teenagers) meets for a fun time of fellowship and preaching.  Simultaneous to these youth ministries, the adults meet in the auditorium for an encouraging, practical Bible message from Pastor Amsbaugh.

In each of our services in the main auditorium, we express a special welcome to first-time visitors.  All first-time visitors receive a welcome packet from one of our ushers, along with a special gift as an expression of our hospitality.  And we do hope that you will feel comfortable and welcomed when you come!

Music

The music at GRIBT is both traditional and heartfelt, most commonly relating to the themes of God’s grace, mercy, and love.  We believe music is a great way to express the Truths of God’s Word, relate to other believers, worship the Lord, and prepare the heart for preaching.  We strive to make our music reflective of God’s holy character and uplifting to the hearts of our people.

Preaching

The preaching at GRIBT is Bible-centered and straight-forward, while at the same time, practical and relevant.  Pastor Amsbaugh’s messages will “hit home” on a variety of subjects pertaining to family life, Christian living, and understanding God.  Of course, the theme of the gospel of Jesus Christ runs concurrently throughout each message.

What to Wear?

What should I wear?  Many people at GRIBT dress up with a suit and tie, and others prefer to come more casually.  While we encourage people to dress tastefully and appropriately, we are far more concerned with what God is doing in your life than what you wear to church.  So what you wear to church is completely up to you.

Special Assistance

We have a well-maintained nursery (for children up to 3 years old) available for every service.

We also sign every service for the deaf.

We hope that you’ll find yourself experiencing one of our services in the not-too-distant future!  If you have any further questions , please call or email us.  We’d love to help in any way we can!
