Dr. Jeff Amsbaugh – Senior Pastor

D.R.E., Midwestern Baptist Seminary; D.Min., Temple Baptist Seminary; M.Div., Luther Rice Seminary; B.A., Tennessee Temple University

Jeff Amsbaugh entered the ministry in 1987 and has served as a pastor at churches in Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Rhode Island. In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Jeff serves as an adjunct professor at various Bible colleges and seminaries, both stateside and foreign.

Dr. Amsbaugh, a prolific writer and guest speaker in churches, colleges and conferences around the world, has conducted numerous family seminars and couples retreats. His ministry’s emphasis on producing strong families and strong Christian leaders has uniquely prepared him to address issues of concern to the home and those entering the ministry.

Jeff has served with several boards and associations, as well as on several doctoral dissertation committees. His own thesis currently is being used in college missions classes across America. He has authored numerous commentaries and curriculums.

Dr. Amsbaugh lives with his wife Karen in Johnston, Rhode Island, where he serves as Senior Pastor at Greater Rhode Island Baptist Temple. Jeff and Karen are the proud parents of three adult daughters. Jeff enjoys presidential biographies, Sudoku, and a good cup of coffee.

Dr. Thomas G. Crichton III – Pastor Emeritus

Pastor Crichton founded the Greater Rhode Island Baptist Temple in March of 1975. They faithfully served the Lord in our church, our community, and around the world. In September of 2012, Pastor Crichton became our Pastor Emeritus as stepped down from the role of Senior Pastor. Today, he and Mrs. Crichton continue serving out of GRIBT in a role of helping other ministries with church planting, and preaching and speaking engagements all around the world.

Thomas W. Krampert Jr. – Associate Pastor, Youth and Music Director

Pastor Tom attended and graduated from Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, NC in 2002.

He and his wife, Christy, joined the pastoral staff in 2003. Together, the have invested countless hours in counselling and teaching teenagers in the Word of God. Pastor Tom plans monthly activities giving teenagers a controlled environment that fosters godly attitudes and actions. Each Wednesday he preaches a Bible message that is both understandable and applicable to teenagers in particular.

Pastor Tom organizes also leads our choir and special music ministry.
